Capoeira

Capoeira is a manifestation of Brazilian popular culture, with black culture influence, and undoubted participation on the Brazilian society since Colonial times.
Capoeira is a disguised fight; a game of physical skill, shrewdness and beauty, that brings together peculiar features that identify themselves with those of a fight with game rules, mixing dance and history. Capoeira involves the sound of musical instruments (berimbau, tambourine, and drum), clapping and chanting used a long time ago to express the social exclusion that the black people suffered.
At Studio da Criança, Capoeira has become a fundamental sport for children socialization; working as an excellent means of increasing their body awareness and sense of rhythm, besides developing appreciation for the Brazilian Culture.
